Job SummaryThe Electrical Technician supports field electrical maintenance activities and electrical isolation (Lock Out Tag Out – LOTO) for lighting, air conditioning, motors, and related systems. This role involves hands-on electrical work, troubleshooting, and supporting safe operations in industrial or commercial environments.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Technician will:Provide guidance and technical support to junior techniciansAssemble, test, maintain, and modify electrical equipment and control systemsTroubleshoot electrical issues and identify causes of equipment failuresPerform preventive and corrective maintenanceSupport and follow required LOTO proceduresDocument work performed and report equipment issuesRecommend repairs, upgrades, or replacement of electrical equipmentCommunicate field conditions and solutions clearly to supervisors and team membersRequired Skills And QualificationsPrevious experience in an electrical maintenance or related roleRelevant electrical certification(s) or equivalent hands-on experienceStrong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearlyTeam-oriented mindset with willingness to support othersAbility to work under changing priorities and tight deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Preferred ExperienceHigh Voltage (HV) power transmission and distributionElectrical dispatch or operations supportSCADA systems experience (Ignition, Wonderware, GE HMI, or similar)Familiarity with analytics or monitoring systems such as SeeqExperience with industrial instrumentation, controls, and electrical systemsExposure to AspenTech or ABB Xenon SCADA systems
