Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description DMF Lighting is a fast-growing leader in the lighting industry, always hard at work engineering what comes next.We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with extensive knowledge of product design and qualification.Pay range is $90,000-$140,000 (based on skills/knowledge/experience).Location: Carson, CA (onsite)Roles and responsibilities are as following:Design residential and commercial luminaires from concept to manufacturingChampion the NPD process and communicate with all the project stakeholdersLead all the daily project activities and ensure on-time completion of tasksQualify the products through the certification processCreate quality metrics for design and manufacturingMentor junior engineers and verify and improve the quality of designsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience in design and product developmentMinimum 2 years of experience in consumer electronics industryProfessional with Solidworks or CreoHands-on experience with electrical and mechanical products, assembly, and qualification testingExperience with DFM and professional with GD&TFamiliar with thermal analysis and testing in electronic systemsFamiliar with material properties from plastics to Aluminum and other metals.Knowledge of injection molding, die-casting, extrusion, and sheet metal processesFamiliar with the certification process for codes such as NEC or building codesExcellent communication skillsCompany Description DMF Lighting designs and builds industry-leading LED downlighting that sets the standard for flexibility, performance, and quality.
