CNC Programmer (Full Time)

Employees work with modern CNC equipment, clear work instructions, and realistic production standards in a clean, safety-focused environment. 1st Shift*: Monday-Friday, hours to be determined at time of hire.*VACATION & HOLIDAY HOURS COUNT AS HOURS WORKED TOWARD OVERTIME**DOUBLE TIME PAID FOR ANY OVERTIME HOURS WORKED BEYOND 8 HOURS IN A WORKWEEK*Summary: *Create and run programs for CNC Machines and Robots to ensure manufacturing specifications are being met.*Complete all offline CNC programming for mills and lathes, preferable utilizing G-code in Mastercam.Robot programming and functionality.Work with tool crib to assure appropriate tooling is available and stocked as needed.Work with machinists and Manufacturing Engineer to improve cycle time efficiency through tool path, cutting parameters, tooling optimizations.Generate a setup sheet that clearly states how to mount fixturing, how to load part with pictures, where the work offsets are located, and any extra information that helps the operator understand expectations and makes them more efficient.Suggest fixture improvements that may increase the effectiveness of holding or loading parts.Champion assigned continuous improvement projects, as directed by Management.Identify project scope, including required outcome.Assure proper documentation is available and completed to assure complete disclosure of activities completed during the project, including the time investment that was required.Oversee any tool testing activities.Analyzes layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization to drive continual process improvement.Report project results at next Engineering meeting.Minimum 3-5 years programming various types of CNC machines preferred.Associates Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, CNC Programming or equivalent preferred or equivalent experience; High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to write and edit G Code fluently through Mastercam for both Mill and Lathe equipment.Move about throughout the office and manufacturing environment.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.*Office environment.* Manufacturing environment.Velocity Machine Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer including disability/vets.Job Type: Full-timeDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceTuition reimbursementCNC Programing: 3 years (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Relocate before starting work (Required)
