Account Manager
Job OverviewMidway Industrial Supply is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow sales within a designated territory. This role focuses on developing both existing and new customer relationships while promoting our full line of MRO and OEM products and services.The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter who enjoys identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. This position plays a key role in expanding our market presence by working closely with purchasing, maintenance, facilities, safety, reliability, and engineering teams within customer organizations.While you will be provided with an existing customer base, success in this role requires actively pursuing new accounts and expanding business within the territory.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of outside sales within an assigned territory.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow market share.Develop and manage a sales pipeline to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, and customer presentations.Expand business with existing customers by identifying new applications and solutions.Prepare proposals, quotations, and solutions tailored to customer needs.Collaborate with internal teams including product specialists, customer service, and engineering to support customer solutions.Partner with manufacturer representatives to grow key product lines.Stay current on new products, vendor initiatives, and industry trends.Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting.Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers and support sales initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree or minimum of 2 years of industrial distribution sales experienceProven track record of achieving year-over-year sales growthStrong ability to identify and qualify new market opportunitiesTechnical or mechanical aptitudeExcellent customer relationship and problem-solving skillsStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)Ability to read parts manuals, vendor catalogs, and interpret blueprintsStrong team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departmentsValid driver's license requiredAbility to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory (overnight travel may be required)Work EnvironmentThis role requires regular visits to industrial and manufacturing facilities, interacting with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions.
