We are seeking an experienced and strategic Benefits Consultant to support multiple client engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment at Alliant Human Capital. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to clients by leading benefits strategy, administration, compliance, and operational support across domestic and global employee populations.The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of progressive benefits experience, including hands-on experience supporting global benefits programs, vendor management, employee escalations, open enrollment, compliance initiatives, and benefits operations within complex and fast-growing organizations. This individual must be comfortable working independently, managing multiple clients simultaneously, and partnering directly with executive stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead administration and strategic oversight of U.S. and global employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and leave programsManage and support global benefits operations across multiple countries and regions, including coordination with international brokers and vendorsServe as the primary point of contact for client leadership regarding benefits strategy, escalations, renewals, compliance, and employee experiencePartner with brokers, carriers, TPAs, payroll providers, and global vendors to ensure effective program administration and issue resolutionSupport annual open enrollment processes including employee communications, system configuration validation, testing, and reportingProvide hands-on support with leave of absence and disability programs including FMLA, ADA, state leaves, parental leave, and global leave requirements where applicableAnalyze benefits utilization, trends, benchmarking data, and vendor performance to provide strategic recommendations to clientsEnsure compliance with applicable regulations including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and international benefits requirementsSupport mergers, acquisitions, global expansions, and organizational changes impacting employee benefit programsMaintain and audit HRIS and benefits systems including Workday, ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Rippling, BambooHR, or similar platformsDevelop SOPs, process documentation, employee-facing materials, and benefits communicationsSupport payroll and finance teams with benefits deductions, invoices, carrier reconciliations, and reportingParticipate in client meetings, strategic planning discussions, and operational reviews as a subject matter expertQualifications8+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, benefits consulting, or total rewardsRequired experience managing or supporting global benefits programsStrong knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance and employee leave regulationsExperience supporting multi-state and international employee populationsDemonstrated experience managing multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience partnering directly with executive leadership and external vendorsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a consultative and client-service mindsetAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and HRIS/benefits platformsPreferred QualificationsPrevious consulting or outsourced HR/Benefits support experienceExperience in high-growth, startup, or rapidly scaling organizationsCEBS, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or related certifications preferredExperience with global benefits brokers and international compliance coordinationFamiliarity with benefits integrations, EDI feeds, and payroll reconciliation processesWork EnvironmentRemote-based role with flexibility to support clients across multiple time zonesAbility to support multiple concurrent engagements in a consulting environmentOccasional travel may be required based on client needsWhat Success Looks LikeDelivering high-quality client support with minimal oversightBuilding strong partnerships with clients, brokers, and internal teamsImproving operational efficiency and employee experience within benefits programsProviding proactive, strategic recommendations that support client growth and complianceSuccessfully managing complex benefits operations in both domestic and global environments
