Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on complex electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal operation of manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong industrial electrician experience, familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and high-voltage systems, and a solid understanding of schematics and calibration procedures. Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage, high voltage, and distributed control systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters, and calibration tools.
Repair and replace electrical components, sensors, motors, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to minimize downtime.
Perform mechanical maintenance tasks involving hydraulics, CNC machinery, vision inspection systems, and other manufacturing equipment.
Utilize AutoCAD for schematic interpretation and modifications as needed.
Support field service activities by diagnosing problems on-site and providing timely solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage and industrial maintenance procedures.
Document maintenance activities accurately in maintenance management systems.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Experience
Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, calibration processes, and schematics interpretation.
Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and low/high voltage electrical work.
Familiarity with AutoCAD for schematic reading or modifications is preferred.
Prior experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Military background or field service experience in related technical roles is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. This position requires a dedicated professional with a comprehensive understanding of electrical maintenance in an industrial setting to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of manufacturing operations.
