Realize the joy of possibility as you monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring that academic policies and curriculum are followedDeveloping and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional successHelping teachers maximize their teaching potentialMeeting and listening to concerns of students on a regular basisEncouraging, guiding and assisting student leaders and teachersMeeting with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolutionEnforcing discipline when necessaryProviding an atmosphere free of any bias in which students can achieve their maximum potential.Teach the knowledge and skills, nurture the confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students by utilizing SESI instructional models, strategies, and curriculumUtilize school’s behavior management and intervention strategies including but not limited to de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and PBIS strategies.Drive, record, and track student growth and progress towards academic, social, and emotional goalsEnsure that all students are being educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Write IEPs in collaboration with colleaguesEnsure all district and corporate metrics are completed with fidelityMaintain compliance, meet deadlines, and support strong student outcomesObserve classrooms on a regular basis both formally (using observation forms to provide appropriate staff feedback) and informallyAttend and participate in regional activities including weekly Director’s MeetingAttend and participate in a monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; demonstrating consistent growth and goal completionForge and maintain stakeholder relationships (district officials, parents, etc.)Maintain excellent records including financial, state licensing, student, and employee documentationAssist in creating and enforcing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Support staff professional development initiatives, identifying training needs and organizing relevant workshops or programs.Implement systems and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness within the school.Organize and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and relevant stakeholders.Maintain accurate documentation of special education services, progress reports, and related records.Stay updated with best practices and research in special education, ensuring the implementation of evidence-based strategies.Lead the development and implementation of a school-wide PBIS program.(Thought partner)Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing PBIS practices.Other duties may be assignedQualificationsMaster’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Social or Behavior Sciences, or a related field requiredCurrent, valid teaching license in special educationAt least 5 years of teaching special educationAdministration credential preferredExtensive experience with students with disabilities strongly preferredPosted Salary RangeUSD $75,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.Physical RequirementsAbility to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from studentsCapacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotional demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
