Senior Android/Mobile Platform Developer

Overview In this role you will build a mobile platform for wearable devices, collaborating with product, design and test teams to deliver high-quality Android-based solutions. You will shape reference apps, SDKs and platform components, influencing how customers interact with wearable technology. You’ll work with global teams across device, cloud and test domains to drive scalable mobile platforms. A strong impact comes from delivering industry-leading wearables solutions with creative edge and reliability. ResponsibilitiesDevelop Java and Android OS 4.4+ mobile app platform and reference applicationsDesign, develop and validate mobile platform and reference apps for new wearable devicesCreate public-facing Android SDK solutions for highly-visible customersCollaborate with remote global teams including device, cloud, test, etc. Key requirementsExperience building large-scale native mobile apps on Android and iOSStrong Android Frameworks and Android SDK knowledgeProficiency with Android StudioSolid Java programming skillsOOP with concurrency and multi-threadingExperience with Design PatternsAPI development and RESTful servicesBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, or related majorStrong problem solving and multi-priority managementExperience developing public-facing APIsFamiliarity with C#, C, C++, JavaScriptExperience with XML, JSON parsingExperience with Bluetooth LEExperience with Amazon Web Services; Cloud servicesMaster’s degree preferredproblem solvingmultitaskinginitiativeJavaAndroid SDKAndroid Studio
