Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position at a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center in North Carolina, requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience.Job Details• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) of a large academic medical center (885 licensed beds) with Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center designations,• Lab consists of 5 ORs with an average daily census of 20-25 patients,• Patient population includes cardiac caths, Impella, Watchman, TAVR, ECMO, clips, and pediatric cases (as young as newborns - PFO, etc.),• RN responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, and medication administration; scrub experience is a plus but not required,• 8-hour day shifts starting at 7:30 AM, 40 hours per week,• On-call required 1 night per week and every 5th weekend,• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend,• Holiday rotation coverage required on an as-needed basis,• No floating required,• EMR: Epic (experience required), Cupid, and Sensis,• All Siemens x-ray systems used in the department,Job Requirements• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; 2 years preferred,• Most recent experience must be within the last year,• Epic EMR experience required,• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,Additional Information• RNs are responsible for medication administration, circulating, and monitoring during procedures; scrub proficiency is a bonus,• Department support includes an Assistant Clinical Manager (RN), 10 physicians, RRT, RT, and an Anesthesia/CRNA team,• Orientation consists of standard medical center orientation plus up to 2 weeks of CCL-specific training,• Scrubs are provided by the facility,• Parking is free,• A clinical interview with the unit manager is required as part of the selection process,• First-time travelers will be considered, though experienced travelers are preferred,
