District Building Custodian Lead

As a Building Custodian Lead on Second Shift, you'll play a key role in maintaining our facilities, equipment, and grounds, ensuring they are clean, safe, and conducive to learning.A successful Building Custodian Lead demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment while effectively communicating with colleagues and supervisors. They take initiative in addressing maintenance needs and solving problems, provide excellent customer service to facility users, collaborate with principals and staff to resolve issues promptly, and show a willingness to learn and grow professionally.Your Role Will Include:Communicate work allocation directives from supervisors and building leadership to custodial personnel, and support overall building operations.Perform comprehensive custodial and housekeeping duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, carpets, windows, and surfaces, as well as supporting kitchen operations and event setup/teardown.Maintain and repair building systems and equipment, including minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, and boiler operations, while monitoring building automation controls and reporting issues.Ensure safety and security of the facility by securing the building, monitoring for vandalism or unauthorized individuals, and maintaining safe conditions through snow removal and grounds upkeep.Manage facility responsibilities by maintaining logs and reports, supporting community use of the building, and providing customer service, along with other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.MN First Class C boiler license preferred or willingness to obtain MN Second Class C boiler license upon hire.Experience or training in commercial facility maintenance is a plus.Salary and Benefits:Starting pay: $22.36/hour up to $27.64/hour depending on licensure and experience.Comprehensive benefits package: health insurance, paid leave, holidays, 403b match, and state pension plan.Locations & Shift Times:Osseo Senior High School, Full Time, 2nd Shift position: hours 3 PM - 11:30 PM.
