This team is a full stack team, in which there are Android, iOS, Web and Backend engineers. As the engineer of Search AI Product Engineering team, you will own one of the most critical product surfaces on Coupang’s app – Search and Discovery surfaces where 60%+ of transactions happen.What You Will Do Build brand new user experience product for Coupang search and discovery experience.Help to maintain the high quality of one or several critical search related components on Android platform. Always strive for wowing our customers with robust, fluent and fast app experience.Knit across teams by collaborating with Product managers and designers and other functions to build holistic experience that’s right for Coupang users.Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative consumer-facing mobile products.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics or closely related fieldsExperience developing high quality, large-scale consumer applicationsExperience in data analytic tools such as Presto or JupyterAble to conduct complex A/B testing, able to do experiment analysisDeep understanding of UI development of AndroidExperience with MVVM, Hilt and RoomStrong communication skills and great product senseStrong passion of building productPreferred QualificationsMaster’s or PhD in relevant technical fields6+ years of coding experience with Android, proficiency in KotlinProficiency in React NativeExperience with iOS application development (Swift/Objective-C).Proven track record of strong ownership, ideally within an early-stage startup environment.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in fast-paced environmentPay & BenefitsOur compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.The base pay for Staff position ranges from $164K/year to $282K/year.
