Job DescriptionFull Time (80 hours/pay period)DaysRotating days M-Sat depending on event schedulingGeneral SummaryPerforms routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, or routine screening and at least two other modalities such as x-ray, EKG or bone densitometry, or performs screening mammography in a mobile environment according to established practices and procedures.ResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, or routine screening and at least two other modalities such as x-ray, EKG or bone densitometry, or performs screening mammography in a mobile environment. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. If performing bone densitometry exams, positions patients safely while performing scans of the spine, hip and/or forearm.Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for assisting in the training of other technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies.Maintains department quality assurance programs.Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedures.Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.Prepares, maintains and scans appropriate documentation required by the department.Required For All JobsPerforms other related duties as identified.WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
