The Buyer will have working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and/or NASA procurement regulations, price analysis and target pricing techniques, as well as prior experience procuring Custom Fab-to-Print commodities. Required Skill Sets:o 3-5 Years ERP Experience - SAP Preferred.o Must be able to understand/read engineering drawings and BOM structureo Experience working with mechanical/fabricated part drawings and technical spec understandingo Experience working in partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure the organization's needs are met while managing purchasing process procedureso Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Material Program Manager, Planning, and Accounting to meet business needso Experience in procurement and/or vendor contract management is preferredo Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) complianceo Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance with company quality standards. Work with Suppliers to resolve quality issueso Set and maintain accurate item lead times in the system and hold suppliers accountable to their commitments and to meet performance expectationso Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitieso Exhibits a high level to attention to detailo Excellent scheduling and time management skillso Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-motivated, and be able to drive a process from start to finish Desired Skill Sets:o Ability to compile information to make strategic decisionso Ability to thrive under pressureo Working knowledge of vendor setup, PO packages, T&C negotiations, NDA processing, Cost Savings negotiations.o *Mechanical Buying experienceo *Software buying experience Years of Experience Required (if any):o 3-7 years Education Level Required:o Bachelor's degree How will the contractor's success be measured?o They will utilize the 2026 Purchasing Team Goals, as well as the 1:1 Control Tower metrics based on their procurements, deliveries, trainings, etc.
