We provide comprehensive care and complex chronic condition management to 80k+ patients nationwide, whether they are in the early stages of kidney disease, transitioning to dialysis, seeking a kidney transplant or receiving life-sustaining dialysis.Director, IKC OperationsThe Director, IKC Operations supervises the daily operations of a clinical operations team within the Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Kansas, and West Missouri markets. The Director oversees managers and has overall responsibility for front-line teammates, while improving systems and processes to advance our overall clinical operations and effectiveness and achieve our clinical operations goals. This Director has P&L accountability for >$300M in medical cost under management. The leader also works closely with nephrology groups in partnership to achieve our shared goals and vision.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction to the team. Responsible for performance development, performance management, retention, team assignments, and teammate relations. Work directly with managers to create a sustained culture that drives patient safety, compliance, and outcomes.Operational Oversight and Improvement Identifies, analyzes, and drives continuous operating improvements and quality performance of operating metrics, including clinical outcomes quality, productivity, staffing, training, attrition, and budget.Maintain awareness and knowledge of assigned market and participates in internal and external business development meetings, as applicable.Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives that maximize the division's clinical care and growth potential.Lead critical projects working across multiple service lanes; monitor metrics, track progress of initiatives, and prepare presentations for senior leadership.Work across operational and innovation teams to advance best-in-class capabilities in the market.Accountable for Physician engagement strategy and quality Expand clinical and business relationships with existing and new physician partners.Address top growth priorities, provide due diligence and lead successful operational conversions on acquisitions and strategic growth.Accountable for collaboration with dialysis business Partners in collaboration calls, innovating to develop new collaboration processes.Oversees RN performance on core team participation.Meet monthly with internal leaders to drive key performance measures and increase provider engagement and facilitate business relationships to drive growth.Interface with business leaders from a broad range of functional teams, including Finance, People Services, Strategy, Quality, Clinical Transformation and others in support of strategy and operational execution.Collaborate across DKC and IKC teams to perform analyses and synthesize results.Manage and oversee the DaVita IKC program Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and DaVita policies.Monitor risk management and quality assurance compliance.Accountable for review and development of department budget Evaluate processes to ensure cost effectiveness and reduce operational expenses.Evaluate projects for cost effectiveness and impact on outcome expectations.Education and Experience8+ years of Operational Leadership; leading robust, regional teams.Experience managing budgets and driving metrics.Preferred experience in healthcare, physician engagement, and value-based care (VBC).Master's degree preferred.Prior P&L management experience.Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.What We'll ProvideComprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, PTO cash out.Support for you and your family: Family resources, EAP counseling sessions, access to Headspace, backup child and elder care, maternity/paternity leave and more.Professional development programs: DaVita offers a range of programs to help strong performers grow within their careers and offers on-demand virtual leadership and development courses through the DaVita online training platform StarLearning.At DaVita, we strive to be a community first and a company second.
