Production Operation Engineer II (Wafer)

DescriptionSUMMARYWe are looking for an experienced Production Operation Engineer to join our team to oversee manufacturing operations. This role will ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the output quality. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a significant part of your day. To be successful in this role, you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations at a time. These duties include building production schedules, ensuring production processes stay within budgets and deadlines, and reviewing the productivity of an organization’s manufacturing equipment. The overall goal of this position is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties are production operation, labor management, and safety management.Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirementsEstimate costs and prepare budgetsOrganize workflow to meet specifications and deadlinesScheduling regular maintenance for equipmentEvaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtimeSetting productivity goals for each production operation partMonitor production to resolve issuesSupervise and evaluate the performance of production personnelTrain new employees and provide support and guidance to production staffEnsure adequate scheduling of staffSupport the authorization of process descriptions and batch records, equipment, commissioning, process training, and validation activities for production staff.Production operators organization / R&R / Calculate the appropriate number of people, placement, time, and attendance managementDetermine the necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.)Purchasing the required materialsEnsure output meets quality standardsTracking to achieve production KPI goals (productivity/quality/cost/delivery)Enforce health and safety precautionsEnsuring that health and safety protocols are adhered toEnsuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-freeCommunicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting productionEstablishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operationsDevelop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or qualityWork closely with other engineers and technicians across the organization to ensure stable production processesReport on countermeasures for planned and unplanned shutdowns and quality issuesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineeringMinimum of 3 years of experience in the solar or semiconductor manufacturing industryMinimum of 3 years of experience in personnel management experience for workers in manufacturingStrong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulationsStrong organizational and project management skills.Knowledge of relevant manufacturing and processes related to the solar or semiconductor industryAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesPreferred QualificationsProven experience related to production management in the manufacturing industryDeep knowledge of production management and understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulationsKnowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting conceptsExperience in reporting on key production metricsProficient in MS Office and ERP softwareStrong communication skills and attention to detailExcellent organizational, time management skills, and leadership skillsAbility to solve problems quickly and efficientlyStrong decision-making skills and a results-driven approachAbility to coach and motivate employeesProven record in training employees about safety and productionAbility to travel overseas as required for training purposesHanwha Q CELLS provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
