A Wiss manufacturing client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Essex County, NJ. This position will be hands-on, managing full-cycle accounting + operations. This individual must be able to work fully onsite. The compensation range for this role is $100k - $115k.Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations within QuickBooks, including transaction entry and maintenance of accurate financial records. Process customer invoicing, payments, and credit memos; maintain AR records. Review and process vendor bills, oversee AP aging, and execute payments (checks/ACH). Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations with supporting documentation. Execute full month-end close, including accruals, expense reviews, commissions, and overhead calculations. Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and supporting reports. Maintain inventory and cost accounting records, including item costing, profitability analysis, and adjustments from production reports. Analyze product margins and compare actuals to standard costing models. Support budgeting and cash flow tracking initiatives. Process payroll through ADP and record payroll-related entries. Maintain operational and financial tracking files (metrics, shipment tracking, labor reporting, attendance). Coordinate with internal stakeholders on cost analysis (freight, lab fees, production variances). Manage annual and periodic compliance items (1099s, licenses, insurance renewals, audits, tax filings). Assist with vendor and customer credit applications and related documentation.
