Senior Piping Designer

Senior Piping Designer (Revit) - Contract-to-HirePortland (Hybrid)We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Portland, OR.In this role, you'll operate as a senior-level contributor, independently developing piping designs, leading portions of project scope, and coordinating directly with engineers and multidisciplinary teams. You will play a key role in ensuring model quality, design accuracy, and adherence to project standards while supporting execution and project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed piping designs and 3D models using RevitLead portions of project scope with minimal supervisionCoordinate closely with engineers and other disciplinesProvide technical input on operability, constructability, and design standardsSupport workshare execution across distributed teamsContribute to estimating, scheduling, and change management discussionsEnsure high-quality deliverables through strong QA/QC practicesRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in Design Technology or related field (or equivalent experience +2 years)10+ years of piping design experience in industrial environments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semiconductor)Minimum 3+ years of strong experience using Revit for piping design and modelingSolid understanding of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentalsAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentationProven ability to work independently while managing assigned design tasksStrong communication and coordination skills in a multi-disciplinary team environmentExcellent attention to detail with a focus on model and drawing accuracyPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related fieldExperience working on semiconductor facility projectsKnowledge of pipe stress considerations and their impact on routing and support designFamiliarity with QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and specification-driven designAdvanced Revit skills, including family/part development and troubleshootingPrior experience leading piping design teams and ensuring model consistency and qualityAspen Technical StaffingCELEBRATING 25 YEARS          ~2001-2026~We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
