The successful candidate will deliver engaging general music instruction aligned to state standards and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can develop foundational musical skills. Responsibilities include teaching general music across grade levels, leading basic choral and instrumental experiences, and providing occasional small-group instruction as needed. The position supports a well-established program, and we are seeking a dependable educator who can maintain continuity of instruction while contributing to a positive and musically meaningful learning experience for students. General Music 3rd-5th Grade General Music Choral Ensembles 3rd Grade Choir 4th/5th Grade Choir Instrumental Music Beginning Orchestra Advanced Orchestra Small-group instrumental string lessons Additional Responsibilities Rehearsing and conducting winter and spring concerts Planning engaging, standards-aligned lessons Assessing student progress and maintaining grading records Collaborating with colleagues and supporting school-wide music initiatives Qualifications NJ Teacher of Music Certification and/or substitute certification. 2026 2027 Terms of Employment Yearly Base Salary: $67,380.00 70,580.00 Employment Period: 9/1/2026 - 6/30/2027 Union Affiliation: SBEA Benefits Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription and Dental Benefits.
