At a Glance:Role: Energy Efficiency Consultant II (IES Program Consultant) Pay Rate: Up to $37.80/hour Location: Berlin, CT (Hybrid - Tuesday/Wednesday in-office) Duration: 18-month contract with potential for extension Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Why You’ll Love This RoleAs the IES Program Coordinator, you will be the glue that holds innovative pilot projects together. You’ll work in a warm, collaborative environment where your analysis directly influences which green technologies—like smart devices and EV charging—get scaled for the public. You’ll be part of a team that values your insight and relies on your ability to bridge the gap between brilliant ideas and real-world deployment. Your Typical DayGuiding Innovation: Reviewing applications for new pilot projects to ensure they are in the best interest of customers and the environment. Building Partnerships: Facilitating meetings between internal experts and external stakeholders to drive consensus on exciting new proposals. Project Management: Managing the internal review and contract process to ensure approved pilots launch smoothly and on time. Analyzing Impact: Reviewing innovator reporting and invoices, then helping craft final reports that document costs, benefits, and lessons learned. Staying Informed: Keeping the team updated on the latest regulatory developments and requirements from state utility authorities. What You Bring to the TeamExperience: 2–4 years in utility programs, energy innovation, grid modernization, or regulatory environments. Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field. Technical Curiosity: An understanding of (or strong interest in) technologies like demand flexibility and smart grid advancements. Communication Skills: You’re a natural at breaking down complex info into clear, structured reporting and enjoy engaging with diverse groups of people. Ready to help power the future?
