Art Director
Role Summary/PurposeWe are seeking an Art Director with a passion for creating award-winning work to join Goldmind, Synchrony’s in-house creative agency. Our ideal candidate has exceptional digital design skills and is an excellent conceptual, strategic thinker as well as a natural collaborator and storyteller. The Art Director solves problems in collaboration with creative directors, art directors, strategists, copywriters, designers, developers, videographers, the account team and our clients. Primarily responsibilities include designing marketing campaigns for our business platforms across Synchrony that focus on B2B and B2C audiences.Essential ResponsibilitiesResponsible for designing a wide range of creative projects including marketing campaigns, brand campaigns, experiential design, presentations, site design, social media, email campaigns and display adsCollaborate with fellow creatives and outside vendors as required to exceed expectations on projectsDeliver creative solutions that impact both brand metrics and business outcomes.Present and participate in creative reviews with peers and clientsFollow creative briefs, budgets, timelines, and processes for each projectEnsure objectives are met and work delivers to quality standardsOffer new ideas for creative processes and collaborationPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in fine arts OR in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 6 years of work experience in visual design and management experienceA minimum of 4 years of professional advertising agency experience and/or work within an in-house creative teamExperience with Adobe Creative programs and FigmaProficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Must provide a portfolio or work samples to be considered for the roleAbility and flexibility to travel for business as requiredDesired CharacteristicsMastery of Adobe Creative programs and FigmaBalance of conceptual and executional designer with strong digital experienceTeam player and collaboratorFlexible, fast thinker that exhibits poise in critical or stressful timesTakes initiative and is a self-starterStrong creative problem-solverAbility to work independentlyPassionate and creative, inspired by new trends and emerging technologiesStrong presentation skillsOutstanding communication and great people skillsMastery of Adobe Creative programs and FigmaProficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Grade/Level: 09 The salary range for this position is 60,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Our Way Of WorkingWe’re proud to offer you flexibility. At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
