Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas / Pipeline Design)Location: Spring, TX (Travel Required)Job SummaryWe are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work under general direction, applying advanced engineering expertise to develop and implement solutions for complex pipeline and facility projects. This role involves both technical execution and oversight, supporting the development of new or improved techniques, procedures, and designs while ensuring project objectives are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review engineering calculations, including:Pipe strengthGas velocity and pressure dropRelief device sizingPrepare and review:Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Site layouts and design plansDraft, review, and approve:Material requisitionsMechanical specificationsEquipment and subcontractor data sheetsOversee deliverable production to ensure compliance with:Industry codes and standardsEnvironmental regulationsClient specifications and quality programsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure consistent project executionInterface directly with clients to support design discussions and provide project updates (including 30/60/90% reviews)Mentor and support junior engineering staffRequired ExperienceMinimum 5+ years of detailed engineering design experience in one or more of the following:Natural gas or liquid pipelinesCompressor or pump stationsGathering systems and facilitiesHands-on experience with CAESAR IIStrong working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including:DOT, AGA, ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, MSS, NFPAEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredCore CompetenciesStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProven ability to manage priorities and coordinate across multidisciplinary teamsAbility to interpret design reports, identify issues, and implement effective solutionsDemonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilitiesAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel to project sites for:Field data collectionSite inspectionsAbility to travel for multiple days as requiredCommitment to safety, compliance, and workplace policiesMust be authorized to work in the United States
