This role requires hands-on work in the yard and periodic delivery of materials to jobsites. They play a key role in keeping yard operations running safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesYard Operations SupportAssist the dispatcher with organizing, stocking, and maintaining yard inventoryLoad and unload materials, and supplies safely and efficiently from vendor trucks and on to customer trailers and vehiclesPrepare materials for delivery or pickup according to sales ticketsMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe yard environmentPerform basic equipment checks and report issues to the dispatcherFollow established procedures for material handling and yard safetyDelivery & Jobsite SupportAccompany or operate company vehicles to deliver materials to jobsites as neededAssist with loading, securing, and unloading materials at jobsitesCommunicate professionally with customersEnsure deliveries are completed accurately and on scheduleComplete basic delivery paperwork and electronic documentationSafety & ComplianceAdhere to all company safety policies and proceduresUse personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredReport unsafe conditions, damaged materials, or incidents promptlyGeneral DutiesAssist with yard maintenance tasks such as sweeping, snow removal, and organizing storage areasPerform other duties as assigned by the dispatcher or store managerQualifications & RequirementsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAbility to lift, carry, and move heavy materialsBasic knowledge of construction materials or yard operations a plusAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamStrong work ethic and dependable attendancePhysical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsFrequent lifting, bending, standing, and walkingAbility to climb on and around equipment and trucks safelyWork EnvironmentOutdoor yard and jobsite settingsExposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
