Prototype Operator

Job TitleSummary of duties and responsibilities: This role is responsible to produce (paint / assemble) NCR parts that are outside the normal scope of normal assemblies, requiring special training, inspection skills and minimum supervision. This person will be required to work with engineering and team leads to determine the best method to produce new parts in this facility.Essential duties and responsibilitiesWork with Engineering to help transfer parts from Prototype to Production.Improve / develop fixturingHelp develop Assembly / Paint Instructions / Assembly DrawingsImprove yieldHelp Engineering determine best routing steps to be used.Coat various alumina insulators with paint per specificationsAssemble alumina components (insulator, metal hardware, braze alloy) and load assemblies into firing fixtures per assembly drawing and other instructionsPerform pre-assembly / metalizing preparation operations on materials, including cleaning parts, mechanical attachment of parts, sizing of parts and other operations as necessaryMust know and convey critical dimensions, physical, & cosmetic characteristics.Leak testChem CleanInspection of components and final partsTrain Metalizing and Assembly operators to build new parts.Education, prior work experience, specialized skills and knowledge requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required - Experience is requiredAbility to read blueprintsBasic math and reading comprehension skills requiredMRP experience and/or training requiredWorking understanding of vacuum brazingProblem-solving skillsPhysical requirementsLifting, walking, stooping, reaching, standing, sittingCorrectable 20/20 visionAdditional InformationCeramTec N.A. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
