Grade 6 Math Teacher - Long Term Substitute (May 2026 - June 2026)

LOCATION: Gibbs SchoolQUALIFICATIONS:Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Mathematics Teacher at the Middle School levelDegrees in Mathematics and Education preferredExperience working with students at the Middle School Level.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous mathematics lessonsDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with varied learning profilesAssess student performance formally and informally, and provide timely feedback to students on their progressTeach four sections of grade 6 mathematics classes and one section of a WIN block ("what I need")Collaborate with colleagues to assess student outcomes and share best practices for teaching mathematics.Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture where all students feel supported and encouraged to participate.Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction, grading, and communication to parents and familiesPerform other such related duties as may be required by the Director of Mathematics or Building Administrators.
