2nd Shift Processing Worker

This position is second shift Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. However, training will take place on first shift Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., until supervision determines that performance meets expectations. After the training period, employee will be expected to go to 2nd shift hours as stated above.
JOB SUMMARY: Loads Hot Boxes with raw honey, preparation of specialty food products made in the Kettles, tanker loading and unloading, and Bulk Filling operations, while also providing hand-on support to the various tasks. Report food safety and quality issues to supervision/management.
Primary Duties:
Carry-out daily production plan using documented procedures, and record results:
Hot Box Operations
Move drums from warehouse to Plant floor and station according to Honey Batch Report formulation.
Remove top of drums, inspect, and load Hot Box.
Unload empty drums from hot boxes and operate drum crusher.
Kettle Operations
Products: Imitation Honey, Fruit-flavored Honey, Molasses and Maple Syrup.
Move raw materials from warehouse to plant floor
Weigh out ingredients and blend
Tanker Loading & Unloading
Loading: Ralston, Ventura and Ken’s
Unloading: Corn Syrup and Molasses
Bulk Filling
Products: Honey, Sweetener, and Molasses
Containers: Totes, drums, and pails
QC testing
In-process samples and finished goods, as required
Moisture, Color, and/or Flavor & Aroma testing
Carry-out routine maintenance and complete daily cleaning tasks
Troubleshoot production-related problems as they arise
Clean equipment according to Master Cleaning Schedule and log activity
Weekly bonus checks may be awarded based on performance.
Secondary Duties:
· Review Schedule Board or clipboard to see what batches are ready to be filtered.
· Set up the filter system per blend requirements.
· Gather proper paperwork for blend lot tracking.
· Verify Open/Closed valves in system going/coming from hotboxes and or tanks.
· Record total weights processed.
· Record moisture/color values per product specifications.
Pay rate increases up to $17.25/Hour after satisfactorily completing 90-days of employment based on meeting or exceeding performance expectations with regard to safety, attendance, quality, and production.
Perfect Attendance incentive paid weekly.
