MEP Project Engineer
Our growing client, who are increasing their presence in the Boston area, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support and expand their MEP engineering efforts in the healthcare sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead project delivery, mentor junior staff, and serve as a key client-facing technical expert within a growing multidisciplinary team.As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will guide MEP design efforts across a range of healthcare environments, from hospitals and outpatient clinics to specialized care facilities, ensuring technical excellence, code compliance, and seamless integration with architectural and structural systems. The Lead Engineer will also lead mechanical and plumbing design for complex projects, ensuring technical rigor and code compliance while providing strategic oversight and fostering technical growth. They will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to deliver fully coordinated construction documents as well as represent the firm in client meetings and site visits throughout New England. If you are a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in MEP who is eager to take the next step to management, this could be the ideal role for you. Because this position can be either hybrid or remote, candidates local to New England will be considered. A PE License is highly desired but not a requirement for this role. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. Additional Responsibilities and Qualifications: Ensure QA/QC processes are followed throughout design and documentation phases.Support business development efforts by providing technical insight and participating in proposal development, project scoping, and client presentations.10+ years of experience in mechanical systems design, with preferred experience in healthcare environments (e.g., hospitals, clinics, labs). PE License desired.
