These devices allow us to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize how humans interact with their digital world.Team DescriptionThe Brain Interfaces Team is responsible for the design, manufacturing, and testing of all systems related to the implant and charger. Our projects involve electrical and mechanical test systems, custom jigs and fixtures used in manufacturing and assembly, electronics packaging, and tooling at the interface between the implant and the surgical robot.Job Description And ResponsibilitiesAs an Engineering Lab Manager, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining an environment that empowers our engineering and manufacturing teams to innovate and deliver groundbreaking medical devices. You will go beyond managing equipment and facilities; you will be a key enabler of technical and operational success, ensuring that the lab spaces are designed for efficiency and collaboration. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growth by facilitating innovation, streamlining operations, and optimizing resource utilization. Additionally, you will be expected to:Collaborate with stakeholders in the design and optimization of spaces to meet the evolving needs of the engineering and manufacturing teamsContinuously improve lab capabilities and operations by implementing new technologies, optimizing space for better workflow, or renovating existing facilitiesMaintain and manage inventory of all lab equipment, including tools, chemicals, and consumablesProactively implement maintenance strategies and deliver systems for lab organization and cleanliness as well as train users accordinglyBuild prototypes, run tests and experiments, and provide hands-on technical support to engineers, leveraging expertise in engineering, prototyping, and lab operationsEnsure spaces comply with safety regulations and industry standardsRequired QualificationsMeticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skillsStrong understanding of engineering principles and familiarity with R&D lab equipmentExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Thrives in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and innovation are essentialHands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and lab operationsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of regulatory standards relevant to medical device developmentExperience with inventory management systems and quality control processesExpected CompensationThe anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We also believe in aligning our employees’ success with the company’s long-term growth.
