Licensed Civil Engineer - MUST HAVE A P.E. LICENSE

With an in-house design department, we specialize in design-build projects.As a Civil Engineer you will lead and manage multiple infrastructure and building projects, including structural steel analysis, design, and construction. The Civil Engineer must possess a strong background in civil engineering principles and practices, with experience in project management and construction management. The Civil Engineer must have a strong technical background, proven project management abilities, and the skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders. This role involves working on various infrastructure projects, ensuring that Government and Public / Civic designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT THE CIVIL ENGINEER HAVE AN ACTIVE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (P.E.) LICENSE. ANY CANDIDATE WHO CANNOT PROVIDE PROOF OF THE P.E. Over 20% of MZT's key leaders started in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed designs for grading, drainage, dry -wet utility and other public improvementsConduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessmentsPrepare and review technical diagrams, drawings, specifications, and reportsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources for routine and complex projectsPrepare scopes for GPRS, Geotechnical, LIDAR / AerialsPrepare Survey Scopes for Property land use controlsPrepare SWPPPMonitor Cost Control within budgetPrepare Hydrology studies and reportsPrepare soil import / exportWork as PM for Design - Build delegated task ordersAssist procuring Bids and EstimatesNegotiate Contracts, invoicesCollaborate with Design teams on review of building designs and plansAnalyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.Prepare and maintain accurate records of project work, including reports and documentationPrepare preliminary plan sets for agency submittalComplete technical and report writingPrepare and present project proposals to clients and company stakeholders, including cost estimates and timelines.Collaborate with our Architect, external contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success. Monitor all drawings for QCAttend formal training and maintain certificationsConduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise-ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Ensure all engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal regulationsConduct quality control inspections and tests on materials and workmanshipOther duties as assigned.Qualification & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMust have at least 5 years of professional experience in civil engineeringMUST HAVE A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (P.E.) LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF THE LICENSEProven experience in civil engineering projects for constructionProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, or other engineering design tools. Work w/ 3D BIM Revit/ 3D Civil / D AutoCAD / Bluebeam / Spec INTACTStrong technical writing skills for creating reports, proposals, and project documentation.Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.Experience in construction monitoring to ensure compliance with design specifications.Experience with construction projects in Federal/Military, Industrial, Manufacturing, or other forms of construction highly desired- NAVFAC / USACEWhat We OfferSalary: $100,000 - $130,000/YearHealth, dental, and vision insurance premiums 100% paid for you and your dependentsLife Insurance (100% premium paid by the company for the employee only)401(k) with 100% match up to 4% of salaryPaid time offEEOWe're dedicated to creating a respectful workplace that values diversity and offers equal employment opportunities for all qualified candidates.
