Software Applications Analyst - Mixed Signal/RFNorthrop Grumman's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Level 2 (novice level) Software Development Analyst to support the Mixed Signal and RF electrical design and analysis tools (Cadence, Keysight, and Ansys) for multiple Northrop Grumman sector organizations (Space Systems, Aeronautics Systems, and Defense Systems).Candidates will have experience and working knowledge of engineering applications, as well as knowledge in Windows and Linux operation systems. The candidate will be responsible for administration, installation, and troubleshooting of engineering applications on different computer environments. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA and will support both open area and classified area systems.General speaking, the Software Analyst will research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software; be involved in planning of system and development deployment, as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards; will evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system; and document testing and maintenance of system corrections.Specific to this position, the selected candidate will be trained to deploy, support, customize, and maintain the suite of commercial applications used by the Electrical Engineering departments of the various sectors of Northrop Grumman. This will include Cadence, Keysight, and Ansys tool suites, as well as RF/Antenna tools (among others). The candidate will learn to read and be familiar with electrical engineering schematics, perform circuit analysis, and troubleshoot integrated circuit Process Design Kits (PDKs).Role and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and support engineering applications from Cadence, Ansys, KeysightMaintain and support the major vendors software licenses and renewalsAdministration of Cadence PDK, license daemon, and software store tool packageEnd-user technical support of Mixed Signal/RF applications, including, in support of development and production environmentsPerform root case analysis, debugging problems within the environment, and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrenceMonitor, address, and resolve production environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc., collaboratively with other support teamsDocument all aspects of the system in KB articles to share with supporting team members and usersMaintain and support virtual license servers in Linux and Windows using FLEXLM and Altera License monitoring agentsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM related discipline with 0 years of relevant technical experience is requiredMust have experience with basic scripting languages (example: Python, Perl, Matlab, etc.)Experience with System Administration of both Linux OS and Windows OS is requiredCandidates must have the ability to obtain a US Government Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment in this rolePreferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in either Electrical Engineering or in Computer Science, and 2 years of experience in support of Mixed Signal/RF applications, including Cadence, Keysight, and Ansys toolsExperience with troubleshooting engineering applicationsExperience with Cadence, Keysight, and Ansys toolsFamiliarity with electrical engineering schematicsExperience with software licenses and renewalsFluency in at least one computer programming language would be nice to haveAbility to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-usersMust work well with others in a professional setting regardless of skillsetsAbility to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking toolsMust work well independently without constant supervisionActive Secret level security clearance is highly desirableBenefitsWe offer flexible work arrangements, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
