Checks emergency equipment/drugs for proper operation and availability every shift.Maintains a safe patient and working environment by adhering to infection control and safety policies and procedures.Receives physician orders, documents, follows up and evaluates patients outcomes. Assures that orders are carried out properly per policy. All orders are to be noted, signed and dated appropriately by the RN or LPN.Job requires no previous clinically related nursing experience but six months Labor/Delivery desired. The employee will complete an orientation program of sufficient duration and content to prepare them for specific duties in the hospital before they administer direct patient care but at least within thirty (30) days of hire date.Successful completion of unit specific competencies annually.
