About the JobGomez Law, APC is seeking a high-level, hands-on Fractional Revenue & Collections Manager to take full ownership of our firm's collections, revenue tracking, and financial performance systems. This is a part-time, hybrid/remote role at 15–20 hours per week. This is not a traditional CFO or bookkeeping position — this role is focused on execution, accountability, and improving cash flow. We are also Great Place to Work Certified.Client-Centric Focus: We provide a "WOW" customer experience, and that starts with a firm that runs efficiently and gets paid for the value it delivers.Professional Development: Our commitment to learning means we support you with both internal and external resources, empowering you to lead, innovate, and take on new responsibilities.Join Gomez Law, where you'll be part of a forward-thinking, award-winning firm that's transforming the legal landscape and creating lasting impacts in our communities.Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will:Own and improve the firm-wide collection rate — our primary KPI for this role — and lead weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) meetings to keep all stakeholders aligned and accountable.Enforce prepaid work policies, trust replenishment requirements, and payment deadlines, while tracking and following up on all outstanding balances.Audit and clean up financial data in Clio Manage, building and maintaining dashboards for collection rate, AR aging (30/60/90), discounts, and write-offs to ensure leadership is always working from accurate, actionable data.Analyze contingency cases for time spent vs. expected recovery, identifying inefficient or low-ROI matters and providing clear recommendations to leadership.Support attorney accountability and performance by tracking missed trust requests, delayed collections, and inefficient billing practices, and working with legal operations to address and improve these processes.Track and report all client discounts, monthly firm discount totals, write-offs, and uncollectible balances, identifying patterns and recommending meaningful improvements.Guide client payment strategy, including payment plans, billing disputes, and difficult client situations — providing clear guidance on when to push for payment, negotiate, or move toward withdrawal.Strengthen financial SOPs and workflows, improving AR processes, billing clarity, and collections efficiency, including helping integrate AI tools for forecasting and automated alerts.RequirementsProven experience in law firm finance, legal billing, or law firm collections (must have worked in a law firm)Strong understanding of legal billing models, including hourly, contingency, and hybrid structuresDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with attorneys while holding teams accountable with confidence and professionalismHighly detail-oriented, yet practical and results-driven in approachExcellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, direct, and professionalExperience with Clio Manage or similar legal practice management systems strongly preferredHow We'll Measure SuccessIncreased firm-wide collection rate (%)Reduction in AR aging beyond 30 / 60 / 90 daysReduction in write-offs and client discountsHigher percentage of cases properly funded in trustAccuracy and reliability of financial reportingReduced owner/leadership involvement in AR escalationsCompensationOur firm offers a competitive compensation package for this fractional role, with an hourly rate ranging from $60–$90/hour depending on experience, expertise, and demonstrated results.
