Java backend Developer

Overview In this role you will design, develop, test, and deploy backend systems for critical financial-grade applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable Java services. You will build and maintain microservices, ensure reliability, and contribute to end-to-end delivery in a hybrid client environment. This is a senior, client-facing position that emphasizes performance, data integrity, and robust integrations. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop Java applications for client platforms and index-related systemsBuild microservices-based solutions and implement unit/integration testsParticipate in requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentationDevelop software based on clear business specifications and support existing applicationsSetup development environments and conduct testing in sandbox environmentsCollaborate with customers, business users and IT staff to deliver reliable solutionsWork with concurrent and distributed Java systems and use Java 8 features Key requirements10+ years IT experience in application developmentStrong Java/J2EE and JMS experience with concurrent systems8+ years Spring-based technologies (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) and caching (Hazelcast)8+ years SQL knowledge and data modeling understandingExperience designing and implementing microservices and CI/CDExperience with Rest Services and messaging (ActiveMQ)Cloud exposure (AWS) and containerization (Docker, ECS)Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and DevOps practicesExcellent problem-solving and client-interaction skillsBachelor in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalentStrong architectural experience in complex financial systemsHands-on experience in end-to-end project deliverystrong communication with clientsproblem-solving abilitycollaboration across cross-functional teamsJava 8+ (Streams, functional programming)Spring BootSpring Cloud
