Field Applications Engineer - Processor (Tokyo)

Love your job.The Field Application Engineer Processor (FAEP) is responsible for growth of Processor products revenue as a part of the sales team by partnering with Sales and Analog FAE. The FAEP proactively promotes TI's competitive devices and solutions by providing creative solutions to customers, identifies customers' projects as early as possible, builds strategic plan to get business win and provides technical support by co-working with Product Lines. FAEP is expected as both of an engineer and sales person with in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to gain credibility and develop relationships with customers.In this role, your responsibilities include:Help TI secure customer commitments and win business by working on-site with customers in support of their engineering teams developing applicationsRecommend and implement system processor solutions to customers in a consultative role have strong embedded software development skillsDevelop custom applications and example code for key customersDebug software components in the customers end systemsWork as a part of the sales team and product group to capture processor business and successfully take it to revenueTake customer designs to revenue by providing prompt and thorough support for on-going design activityUnderstand the competitive landscape; constantly applying lessons from customer engagement to refine this competitive understandingUse competitive knowledge to tailor feedback to the product group for new product/feature developmentUnderstand the specific business benefits that such feature/product enhancements will produceDefine and develop software and systems application notes and collateral for the above mentioned devicesPresent at TI technical conferences and facilitate product specific customer trainings (seminars/workshops)Minimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in EE/Comp Eng, or comparableMinimum 2 years of relevant experienceWorking understanding of applications with an emphasis on PC motherboard controllers and system management controllersFluent in Japanese and EnglishPreferred qualifications:Interested and motivated to actively participate in sales activities.Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentation skills, with ability to effectively relate materials to customersDemonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryAbility to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentDemonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationshipsAbility to efficiently context-switch between multiple concurrent tasksAbility to advocate for customer needs (with an understanding of "why") back into the TI product groupsMinimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in EE/Comp Eng, or comparableMinimum 2 years of relevant experienceWorking understanding of applications with an emphasis on PC motherboard controllers and system management controllersFluent in Japanese and EnglishPreferred qualifications:Interested and motivated to actively participate in sales activities.Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentation skills, with ability to effectively relate materials to customersDemonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryAbility to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentDemonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationshipsAbility to efficiently context-switch between multiple concurrent tasksAbility to advocate for customer needs (with an understanding of "why") back into the TI product groups
