Data Visualization Looker Developer

Overview: We are seeking Mid-Senior level Looker Developers with experience in building data-rich visualizations and reports. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing visualizations and working with data throughout their career. This role involves working closely with a project team to prototype and deliver high-quality visual reports, particularly with the client’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) partner. You will be part of a 3-4 person project team that includes a program manager, responsible for managing scope and ensuring delivery. The project will involve working with data analysts who handle fast prototyping, and you will play a key role in ensuring that data visualizations meet the client’s requirements in terms of speed, accuracy, and clarity. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop Visualizations: Design and build complex, interactive data visualizations and dashboards in Looker Studio, ensuring that the data presented is both actionable and insightful. Fast Prototyping: Work closely with data analysts to rapidly prototype visualizations, iterating quickly based on stakeholder feedback and shifting requirements. Collaboration with Project Team: Collaborate with a 3-4 person project team, including a program manager, to meet project scope, timelines, and delivery milestones. Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze data to create meaningful insights for stakeholders, ensuring that visualizations not only display data but also tell a clear story and drive decision-making. Data Integration: Work with various data sources to gather, clean, and integrate data for the purpose of developing accurate and comprehensive visualizations. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 5+ years of experience in data visualization and report development, with a focus on using Looker Studio. Strong understanding of data analytics and business intelligence principles, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Experience in data modeling, SQL, and integrating data from multiple sources for visualization purposes. Proficient in fast prototyping, with an ability to create and iterate visualizations quickly to meet client needs. Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining data insights and technical aspects of visualizations clearly. Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
