Job Title: Lead AWS Cloud Platform Engineer Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid onsite)Duration: Long-term contractF2F (Inperson interview) is a mustSeeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud solutions on AWS. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams, supporting cloud infrastructure, and driving automation, reliability, and cloud transformation initiatives.Required Experience10+ years in IT, including 5+ years in AWS engineering/administrationExperience in SRE practices and cloud transformationHands-on with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda, etc.)EKS is a must have (atleast 2-3 years with EKS) Experience with EC2, EKS, Operations side, RedShift, Platform Engineering, Sagemaker, BedrockExperience with Kubernetes, DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform), and CI/CDStrong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Linux, and scriptingResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud platformsDrive automation, scalability, and system reliabilitySupport full service lifecycle (design to operations)Lead cloud migration and modernization (microservices, containers)Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systemsCollaborate with teams, guide best practices, and mentor peersSkillsProgramming: Python, Java, Go, etc.IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, CDKContainers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)Monitoring & DevOps tools: New Relic, Datadog, Jenkins, Git, etc.Licenses/CertificationsAWS Cloud certifications, minimum of One is required.
