Community Living Instructor (CLI)(Caregiver for Individuals with Disabilities)A Bright Future, Inc. specializes in supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities throughout Burbank and surrounding areas.We are currently seeking Community Living Instructors (CLIs) — compassionate, reliable caregivers who are committed to empowering individuals through hands-on instruction, encouragement, and personalized support.Position OverviewCommunity Living Instructors (CLIs) provide direct care, instruction, and supervision to individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on teaching essential independent living skills, supporting daily routines, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of participants in their homes and throughout the community.CLIs play a vital role in helping participants build confidence, independence, and meaningful community connections.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Support & InstructionProvide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community settingsTeach and reinforce independent living skills, including:Personal hygiene and self-careMeal preparation and nutritionHousehold tasks (cleaning, laundry, organization)Time management and daily routinesSupport participants in developing social, communication, and self-advocacy skillsCommunity IntegrationAssist individuals with community activities such as:Shopping and errandsMedical or personal appointmentsRecreational and social outingsPublic transportation training (as applicable)Encourage participation in community life while promoting independence and safetyHealth, Safety & Well-BeingMonitor participant safety at all times and follow individualized support plansAssist with medication reminders and documentation (as permitted and trained)Observe and report changes in behavior, health, or emotional well-being to supervisorsImplement basic behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques as trainedDocumentation & CommunicationComplete accurate and timely documentation, including:Daily service notesIncident reports (when applicable)Progress updates related to goalsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families as appropriateFollow all agency policies, confidentiality standards, and state/regional center regulationsProfessional ExpectationsAttend required trainings and team meetingsMaintain professionalism, reliability, and punctualityUphold a respectful, patient, and person-centered approach at all timesQualificationsMinimum Requirements18 years of age or olderDrug ScreeningCPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)Negative TB testDepartment of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment)Genuine passion for caregiving and supporting individuals with disabilitiesTraining ProvidedNo prior experience requiredMandatory paid training will be provided before working independently with participantsOngoing support and supervision availableCompensation$19.15 per hourWhy Join A Bright Future?Meaningful, purpose-driven workHands-on training and professional developmentSupportive team environmentOpportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life every dayIf you’re ready to lead with compassion and help build a brighter future for others—we’d love to meet you.Powered by JazzHRao7hwMCGvF
