The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.Role DescriptionManage end-to-end delivery for large-scale transformation program or portfolio of programs. Engage stakeholders across multiple business divisions to ensure alignment and participation and agree on target end state and ownership. Monitor delivery throughout the life of the transformation effort and assess outcomes to ensure completeness and sustainability.ResponsibilitiesSupporting project initiation activities, including project charters, scope definition, and workplan developmentMaintaining project plans, schedules, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and action trackersCoordinating cross-functional inputs and dependencies across business, technology, legal, risk, and operations teamsTracking deliverables and milestones to support timely executionPrepare regular project status reports, dashboards, and materials for working groups and steering committeesEnsure project documentation adheres to internal governance, audit, and regulatory standardsAssist in maintaining project repositories and ensuring appropriate version control and documentation integritySupport compliance with enterprise project lifecycle requirements from initiation through closureProduce workflow diagrams, process maps, and presentation materials as needed to support project execution and decision-makingOrganizing and facilitating project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action itemsActing as a coordination point between project stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolutionEscalate risks, issues, and potential timeline impacts to the Senior Project Manager as appropriateQualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree 25 years of experience in project coordination, project management, business transformation, or a similar role Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills Ability to work across multiple workstreams and manage competing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with project management toolsSMBC's employees participate in a Hybrid workforce model that provides employees with an opportunity to work from home, as well as, from an SMBC office.
