Approved residencies are: (1) Those approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) - b) OR [(2) Those approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) -OR (3) Other residencies (non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United States) - dynamic - team oriented - and collaborative environmentMeets VHA defined benchmarks for physician productivityRotates between campusesInterprets general radiology examinations (plain film)Performs and interprets diagnostic fluoroscopic studies (without and with contrast material)Interprets CT examinations of the chest - abdomen - pelvis and extremitiesInterprets MRI examinations of the chest - abdomen and pelvis - including prostate MRI scansInterprets general - vascular - small parts and soft tissue ultrasound examinationsParticipates in the development to new protocols and imaging techniquesInterprets imaging exams including relevant exam comparison and correlation with clinical information in CPRSGenerate reports that contain pertinent findings and measurements - a description of normal and abnormal structures - discussion of differential diagnoses - recommendations and impressionIssues timely Radiology ReportsObtains informed consentPhysically examines veterans when required for imaging purposesWrites notes in the electronic medical record when clinically appropriateCommunicates critical findings according to the medical center policyParticipates in quality management activities such as film quality review -
