Contract Opportunity – Model-Based Systems Engineer (Experienced or Lead) Job Description A cutting-edge aerospace and defense program is building the next generation of force-multiplying aircraft, the MQ-28 Ghost Bat, and is seeking enthusiastic systems engineers to join the team. This program focuses on designing, integrating, and fielding an autonomous “loyal wingman” aircraft that extends the reach, survivability, and capability of crewed aircraft. The program blends advanced autonomy, sensor fusion, resilient communications, and mission systems into a high-performance platform, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of air combat and coalition operations. Teams are currently hiring for both Experienced and Lead Level Model-Based Systems Engineers. Position Responsibilities Support/lead system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE (SysML/Cameo) to define interfaces, functions, and allocation across multiple domains Support/lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet program commitments, including support of design reviews Support/lead implementation of MBSE as part of a broader digital engineering ecosystem Support/lead systems engineering activities including: requirements decomposition system architecture system analysis specification development trade studies program planning interface management risk management certification planning & execution verification & test planning overall systems integration Capture systems engineering activities within the MBSE model as appropriate Work Environment 100% onsite position Travel up to 10% may be required (domestic and/or international) Clearance Requirement Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science, or related technical field Level 3: 5+ years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR related engineering experience with a Master’s degree Level 4: 7+ years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years of related engineering experience with a relevant Master’s or PhD Prior Systems Engineering experience including: system design functional decomposition requirements development analysis verification and validation Experience with: MBSE Cameo/MSOSA SysML Preferred Qualifications Experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE (SysML/MSOSA) Leadership experience in systems architecture or lead systems engineering roles Experience communicating architectural tradeoffs to stakeholders and customers Understanding of engineering analysis areas including: safety reliability maintainability testability survivability system security certification product assurance Familiarity with aircraft/flight systems and cross-domain engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software) to evaluate integration impacts Benefits Information Optional Benefits: Medical Dental Vision 401K MUST BE UNITED STATES CITIZEN
