Director, Project Finance & InvestmentsLocation: Houston, TexasA private equity-backed power infrastructure platform is seeking a Director, Project Finance & Investments to join its growing leadership team in Houston. This individual will play a critical role leading financing initiatives, evaluating strategic investments, and supporting the growth and optimization of a diversified power and energy infrastructure portfolio.The ideal candidate will possess 7–10 years of experience within project finance, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, or strategic finance, with significant exposure to power, energy, renewables, or infrastructure-related projects.ResponsibilitiesLead project finance and investment activities across the company’s power and infrastructure portfolioStructure, negotiate, and execute debt and equity financing transactionsEvaluate acquisition, development, and investment opportunities across conventional power, renewables, and broader infrastructure assetsDevelop and oversee complex financial models including project finance, valuation, and investment return analysesSupport M&A execution, capital allocation decisions, and strategic growth initiativesManage relationships with lenders, investors, financial advisors, and other external stakeholdersPrepare and present investment committee materials, board presentations, and financing memorandaMonitor portfolio performance, project economics, and operational KPIs across investmentsPartner closely with executive leadership on long-term strategic planning and capital markets initiativesRequirements7–10 years of experience within:Project FinanceInvestment BankingPrivate EquityInfrastructure InvestingCorporate Finance or Strategic FinanceStrong experience within power, energy, renewables, utilities, or infrastructure projects requiredDeep understanding of project finance structures, debt financing, and infrastructure transactionsAdvanced financial modeling and analytical capabilitiesProven transaction execution experience across financing and investment processesStrong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, or related discipline; MBA or CFA preferredPreferred BackgroundCandidates coming from power & utilities investment banking teams, infrastructure private equity funds, renewable energy developers, project finance advisory groups, or strategic finance teams within large energy or infrastructure companies are strongly encouraged to apply.
