Embedded Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Android BSP / Kernel Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AOSP, low-level kernel development, and device/driver integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SDLC, deep expertise in debugging complex hardware/software issues, and experience bringing up and integrating new hardware features on Android-based devices.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, customize, and maintain AOSP (Android Open Source Project) environmentsDevelop, modify, and debug Linux/Android kernel and device driver codeIntegrate and enable new hardware features on Android-based devicesWork extensively with Android BSPs, including board bring-up, hardware integration, and platform-level debuggingDebug complex issues across the kernel, drivers, HAL, firmware, and hardware/software interfacePerform root-cause analysis of system-level and device-level issuesCollaborate with hardware, firmware, platform, and software engineering teams throughout the SDLCTroubleshoot performance, stability, integration, and hardware compatibility issuesRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with AOSP builds and Android platform developmentAndroid BSP experience is mandatoryExpertise in low-level Linux/Android kernel developmentHands-on experience modifying and debugging kernel and device driver codeStrong expertise in system-level debugging and root-cause analysisSolid understanding of SDLC and software engineering processesExperience with hardware bring-up and hardware/software integrationStrong C/C++ programming and low-level systems knowledgeAbility to troubleshoot issues spanning hardware, firmware, drivers, kernel, and Android platform layersAR/XR experience is a plus, particularly experience integrating or supporting AR/XR hardware and devices
