Commercial Painter – MTA Special Project Location: Baltimore, MD Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Project Start: March 2026 Employment Type: Full-Time | Project-Based Background Check Required Job Overview We are hiring experienced Commercial Painters for a time-sensitive MTA special project in Baltimore starting March 2026. This role requires individuals with strong commercial or industrial painting experience who can work efficiently in regulated transit environments while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards. This is a full-time weekday position with potential overtime based on project needs. Successful candidates must pass a background check to obtain site clearance. Responsibilities Surface preparation (scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, priming) Interior and exterior painting Apply coatings using brush, roller, and spray equipment Follow project specifications and safety procedures Protect surrounding areas and equipment Maintain clean and organized job sites Work efficiently to meet project deadlines Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of commercial or industrial painting experience preferred Experience on government or transit projects a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders/scaffolding Reliable transportation to Baltimore job sites Strong attendance and punctuality required Security & Compliance Requirements Must pass criminal background check (required for MTA access) Drug screening may be required Valid government-issued ID required
