Works as part of a team of educators to create and produce curriculum for students. Responsible for regular notes that reflect the academic and interactive progress of students.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:COORDINATES:Assessment testing for newly admitted studentsSupport and encouragement to students in assisting them in learning and completing assignmentsFeedback on students in the daily milieuDocuments students' progress on a regular basisOther duties as assignedVALUES AND COMMITMENT:Protects confidentiality of students and peersParticipates in gathering assessment information for each student and, as a team member, plan for student successAdvocates for and responds to the needs of studentsApproaches responsibilities with enthusiasm, dedication, and energyPunctual so the team is in attendance at the start of schoolPerforms duties efficiently and is self-motivated to problem solveFULFILLS PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:Interacts with students, families, visitors and co-workers with respectApproaches others with a positive attitudeRefrains from gossipOffers problem-solving ideasStrives for professional excellenceFollows dress codeAdheres to policies and proceduresPERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:Monitors students for safetyAssists teacher in assessing the academic abilities of studentsAssists teacher in performance improvement of student academic progressKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:Must have at least one of three following:Associate's Degree or higher (A high school diploma is required and preferably, college credits toward a Bachelor's Degree are preferred)Completed two years of Study at an Institute of Higher Education (48 hours)Passed a rigorous state or local assessment demonstrating knowledge of, and the ability to assist in; instruction reading; writing and math.
