We are currently seeking a candidate for the 3rd Shift Packaging (Paper Systems) Operator role in our Lebanon, KY facility.Job SummaryThe Paper System Operator assures product quality and product specifications are satisfied, work in an efficient manner to maximize production and shipping of products and raw material, while following all safety guidelines.Essential ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include, but not limited to the following:GeneralStart up and shut down all process systems as requiredMonitor paper production system and adjust operator controls for optimal production throughout shiftPerform throughput tests as required by quality standards and proceduresComplete all required in-process quality tests (volumetric test, B.D., moisture, and PPH, etc.) and input all data by the end of the shiftUnderstand and apply any and all shipping requirementsClean entire production area as required by the cleaning schedulePerform regularly scheduled blow-down and cleaning of the systems, buildings, and labs as assigned and perform other clean-up duties as assigned by the supervisorMonitor system and feeder boxes, refilling when necessaryMust track and report accurate production and inventory numbers to SupervisorComplete system changeovers using operating condition sheets and set up sheets in accordance to the production scheduleComplete shift reports, or portions thereof as directed by the supervisor as neededPerform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisorInspects process, performs cleaning, repair as required to maintain optimum performance and product qualityAttend all shift changeover meetings and training sessions as scheduled and requiredFollow system set up to ensure proper qualityRecommend new ideas to improve performance, yields, and throughputsMaintenancePerform operator maintenance, adjust equipment as required, and assist maintenance technicians with repairs as neededReport all maintenance issues and leaks in a timely manner and enter orders in the CMMS as neededKeep Operating Condition Sheets up to date with accurate information on their shift's runtime, issues, and downtimeSafetyFollow all required safety programs and procedures including but not limited to; Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, LOTO, Respirator, and PPEMust understand and abide by the JSA's for this roleWear proper PPE at all timesMonitor fire prevention systems to ensure they are functioning properly at all times -- all issues must be reported immediately and affected systems must be shut down until issues have been resolvedMaintain facial hair to acceptable levels to ensure proper respirator seal as required and to comply with company respirator policyWear double hearing protection at all times in the wood floor systemsMust understand that if any time a requirement to lift something heavy, they should ask for helpMust complete forklift training and abide by all safety practicesExercise caution in the production area due to mobile equipment moving the finished product out of the production areaAttend monthly safety meetingsAttend safety trainings as needed and complete required testing with sufficient resultsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPhysical capability to bend, squat, or stoopPrevious mobile equipment and/or forklift preferredPhysical QualificationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Work in varying temperatures within the production area (can range from 55-100 degrees, depending on the time of year)Be able to climb stairs and/or ladder to the stacking station areasAbility to wear personal protective gear correctlyExperienceIndustrial Machine Operating: 1 Year (Preferred)Benefits401(K)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceFor consideration...
