Assistant Superintendent
Job Title Responsibilities: Assist in supervising their assigned project in regards to costs, quality, schedule, safety and profitability Represent the company in a professional manner in action, appearance and attitude Assist Superintendent in ensuring work completed onsite adheres to contract documents Principal Duties: Assist Superintendent in posting addendums to appropriate contract document Review all Subcontracts & Purchase Orders for overall understanding of responsibilities Assist Superintendent and/or Project Manager: in creating, updating and implementing project schedule in setting up jobsite office, temporary utilities and fencing/barricades in ensuring control is maintained and adhered to during the construction in preparing agenda for Preconstruction Meeting and participating as directed in creating and submitting daily logs to Administration Department in obtaining daily logs from Subcontractors and filing onsite in reviewing & tracking Request for Information requests from Subcontractors in reviewing requests for change orders/contingency allocations to ensure their accuracy in maintaining a clean and safe jobsite in obtaining and organizing attic stock and As builts in the scheduling of required inspections for project duration in coordinating all inspections which are required for project completion Job Requirements: Education and/or Experience Requirements: Minimum: One to two years of construction experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Building Construction and one to five years related experience Language Skills: Team Member must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, technical specifications and procedures Team Member must have the ability to write reports, daily logs, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Mathematical Skills: Team Member must have the ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Team Member must have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Team Member must have the ability to calculate feet and inch dimensions such as linear footage and square footage Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Licenses, Certificates, Registrations Needed: Driver's License in good standing OSHA 10 hour First Aid/CPR Other Skills and Abilities Needed: Ability to proficiently operate a computer Familiarity with construction terminology such as: Materials, Methods, and Divisions of Work Fluency in the English language: Written and Verbal
