Network Engineer

Presidio is seeking a Network Engineer to support our manufacturing client located in Apex, NC. This is a hybrid work schedule. Install, maintain, and support network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems) Design and implement secure network solutions Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, often under tight deadlines Manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and incident response Protect systems from unauthorized access, changes, or data loss Develop and follow best practices for network administration and security Maintain accurate network documentation Monitor network performance and recommend improvements Lead network projects from planning through completion Collaborate with team members to improve processes and meet goals Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (10+ years may substitute) 7+ years of hands-on experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) Strong knowledge of routing and switching (Layer 2 & Layer 3) Experience with VLANs, STP, QoS, and network redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP, etc.) Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP Familiarity with WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN preferred) Experience with network security tools (ACLs, VPNs, firewalls) Exposure to Cisco technologies (switching, VoIP, wireless, and collaboration tools) Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) Duration: Contract to Hire
