We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities and brands while ensuring financial accuracy, accountability, and operational support.Position SummaryThe Controller is responsible for leading the accounting department and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, internal controls, reconciliations, and month-end close processes across all JCK Restaurants entities. This leadership role will drive accountability, process improvement, audit readiness, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting the organization’s continued growth.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong teams, and maintains high standards for accuracy, organization, and execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the accounting team across multiple functionsEstablish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standardsBuild and maintain efficient workflows and scalable accounting processesEnsure the department is appropriately staffed and trained to support business needsFoster a collaborative and professional team environmentFinancial Operations & Month-End CloseOwn and manage the month-end close process and accounting calendarEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesOversee reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and cash managementMaintain integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet accountsPartner with Operations, Payroll, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate reportingInternal Controls & ComplianceMaintain strong internal controls, approvals, and documentation standardsEnsure accounting practices comply with GAAP and company policiesSupport audit preparation and coordinate external audit requestsIdentify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyEnsure consistency across accounting procedures for all brands and entitiesReporting & Process ImprovementSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processesAssist with bonus and incentive reporting accuracyDevelop and maintain accounting procedures and documentationDrive process standardization and operational efficienciesUtilize accounting systems and reporting tools to improve visibility and decision-makingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experienceExperience managing accounting operations in a multi-unit or multi-entity environment preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controlsProven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and improve processesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systemsRestaurant, retail, hospitality, or high-volume transactional industry experience preferredWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryLeadership growth opportunitiesCollaborative and team-oriented cultureOpportunity to make a direct impact across a growing organizationComprehensive benefits packageJoin Our TeamIf you are a driven accounting leader who values accountability, operational excellence, and team development, we encourage you to apply and grow with JCK Restaurants.
