Litigation Legal Secretary - Riverside, CA (Hybrid)
We're partnering with a reputable defense firm in Riverside seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support a high-volume civil litigation desk. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team with hybrid flexibility.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil defense litigation, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable managing a heavy docket with competing deadlines. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with approximately two days in-office and the remainder remote (subject to business needs).
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and litigation support to 2-3 attorneys, including a lead attorney with an active, high-volume caseload
Manage attorney calendars, scheduling depositions, mediations, court appearances, and meetings
Coordinate with opposing counsel, clients, and vendors to arrange case-related activities
Prepare, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
Handle e-filing in California state and federal courts
Track and manage deadlines through docketing and calendaring systems
Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files (iManage or similar DMS)
Assist with trial preparation and document production
Open and close case files and maintain case documentation throughout lifecycle
Qualifications
3-5+ years of litigation legal secretary/assistant experience, ideally in civil defense litigation
Strong knowledge of California court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems
Experience with docketing/calendaring and deadline management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems (iManage preferred)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional, team-oriented demeanor with excellent communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually (DOE)
