We're seeking a Farm And Crop Insurance Producer to join our team and help expand our footprint in the agri-business sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships with farmers, agri-businesses, and rural communities, and who understands the unique risks and opportunities in the crop insurance market.How You'll Make An Impact:Sales & Business DevelopmentProspect new farm and agribusiness clients through referrals, community involvement, and agricultural networksDevelop and grow a book of business across crop insurance and farm-related risk management solutionsMeet or exceed annual production, retention, and growth goalsMaintain strong visibility and relationships within local agricultural communitiesCrop Insurance Sales & ServiceAdvise producers on Federal Crop Insurance Program (FCIP) products, including MPCI, endorsements, and supplemental coverage optionsAssist clients with coverage selection based on risk tolerance, production history, and financial goalsAccurately prepare, submit, and explain crop insurance applications, acreage reports, and production reportsSupport clients through policy changes, claims processes, and loss documentation when applicableFarm Risk Management & Account ManagementIdentify operational risks related to farming practices, land use, and production variabilityConduct annual risk reviews and strategy discussions with clientsCoordinate farm-related insurance solutions when applicable (farm property, liability, equipment, etc.) in collaboration with P&C teamsRetain business through proactive communication and service excellenceCompliance & DocumentationEnsure all crop insurance policies and activities comply with RMA, AIP, carrier, and agency guidelinesMaintain accurate and timely client records in agency management and crop insurance systemsStay current on RMA updates, product changes, deadlines, and compliance requirementsCollaboration & Team SupportWork closely with internal service staff, underwriters, and carrier partnersCollaborate with farm P&C, financial services, and life insurance teams to identify cross-sell opportunitiesSupport office initiatives, training efforts, and seasonal workload requirementsAbout You:Required: Bachelor's degree, 1-year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required OR Bachelor's degree, participation in Gallagher's Sales Internship Program (GSIP), and appropriate insurance licensing required OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years' experience. Working knowledge of agricultural operations and production practices Strong relationship-building and communication skills High level of attention to detail and organizational ability Ability to work independently and manage seasonal workload demands Preferred: Prior experience as a crop insurance or ag insurance producer Knowledge of RMA rules, MPCI products, and endorsements Established relationships within the agricultural communityCore Competencies: Trust-based agricultural sales Risk assessment and advisory mindset Regulatory compliance and documentation accuracy Time management and prioritization Professionalism and ethical business practicesPerformance Measures: New business and premium growth Client retention and satisfaction Compliance accuracy and audit performance Cross-selling and account developmentWork Environment: Combination of office and field work, including farm and producer visits Extended hours during peak crop insurance reporting seasons Travel within ND and MNWhy Join Us? The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
