Staff Accountant

My client south of Boston is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This role will require a HYBRID model. This role is primarily responsible for accounts payable processing, vendor statement reconciliations, and supporting job cost accounting activities. NO out of state candidates please.About the RoleThis role is primarily responsible for accounts payable processing, vendor statement reconciliations, and supporting job cost accounting activities.ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable invoices accurately and timelyReview invoices and ensure proper coding and approvalsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teamsSupport job cost accounting by assisting with project cost tracking and expense allocationsMaintain organized accounting records and supporting documentationAssist with month-end close activities and account reconciliationsCommunicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account issuesHelp identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficienciesProvide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required1–3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferredExperience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferredRequired SkillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAnalytical mindset with good problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting softwareAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentEasy to work with and team-orientedPositive attitude and strong work ethicStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn and grow within the organizationDependable, adaptable, and collaborative Our client offers a competitive compensation package including bonus potential.
